The Best Graphics Card for Call of Duty

With Call of Duty: Warzone, the graphics card is arguably one of the most important parts to having a good game. It's because it determines how much you can affect your performance and experience with that particular video game which will then determine if victory or defeat awaits! So choose wisely; don't end up like these players who got shafted by bad OCs (Overclocking) and for the wrong graphics card.

You'll notice that we'll be using a lot of acronyms and terms in this article: FPS , ROPs , MHz , X - Edition and so forth. But don't worry; we've included an explanation of all these things at the end of this article.

This article is dedicated to gamers who are looking for the best graphics cards. To gain a competitive edge in COD: Warzone, you need high-end or budget card that can play Call of Duty at 1080p and 1440P with all settings maxed out without dropping too many frames per second on your screen while also being able run 3200x1800 resolution just as smoothly if not more so considering how new this game was when its released last November 2017 by developer Sledgehammer Games! We have selected some GPUs from both budgets & ranges depending upon what exactly works well within each price rang ee. We'll go through the best graphics cards in detail for each price point and range including a mostly detailed information which is presented in a numerical chart, an easy to digest image and a video review.

Let's start with the Top 10 Followed by our budget graphics card picks.

1 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

Video Memory: 11GB GDDR5X Core Clock (Gaming Mode): 1544MHz Core Clock (OC Mode): 1657MHz Boost Clock (Gaming Mode) : 1670MHz Boost Clock (OC Mode) : 1785MHz Memory Clock: 11016 MHz Effective CUDA Cores: 3584 x 98 = Tens of FPS in Warzone! It has been confirmed that you can run this game at 3840 x 2160 (4K) or even 5120 x 2880 (5K) resolution with the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition. Also, you can boast it all up to 4 display monitors which makes an amazing setup for multi-gaming in COD: Warzone!

The GTX 1080 Ti is arguably the best graphics card available right now and it's quite hard to disagree considering how well this card does in all modern games at 1440P/4K resolution running maxed out settings while providing an experience that is way more smoother than any other graphics cards on this list. This GPU will get you eye-popping framerates even when you're playing COD at 900p because of its rendering power and performance efficiency. It doesn't even heat up much which is a welcomed surprise and its overclocked edition (Founders Edition) doesn't require you to pay extra for it either!

It might seem like the GTX 1080 Ti isn't priced that much more expensive than any other graphics cards at $700 for its standard price, but we advice that if you want the best possible experience then get ready to dish out an extra $100 or so because of how high-end this GPU is.

2 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

Video Memory: 8GB GDDR5X Core Clock (Gaming Mode): 1607MHz Core Clock (OC Mode): 1730MHz Boost Clock (Gaming Mode) : 1733MHz Boost Clock (OC Mode) : 1848MHz Memory Clock: 10010 MHz Effective CUDA Cores: 2560 x 98 = The GTX 1080 is a very capable graphics card as well. It can handle most games at 1440P/4K resolution with high-to-ultra settings and still framerate performance well enough though not as good as the GTX 1080 Ti. In Call of Duty: Warzone, The GTX 1080 easily runs the game smoothly (1080p) with all settings maxed out without breaking a sweat or dropping below 60FPS which makes it more than sufficient for your daily gaming needs.

The major drawback of this GPU is its price. Even if you get an overclocked edition (Founders Edition), its price starts around $500 which makes it one of the most expensive GTX 1080s out there. But if you want great performance for 1440P/4K resolution, then this might be the card to go after recently even the GTX 1070 performs better that the GTX 980 Ti in this game (but not by much) and that should say a lot about how well the GTX 1080 does in COD: Warzone!

3 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

8GB GDDR5 Core Clock (Gaming Mode): 1506MHz Core Clock (OC Mode): 1683MHz Boost Clock (Gaming Mode) : 1708MHz Boost Clock (OC Mode) : 1822MHz Memory Clock: 8108 MHz Effective CUDA Cores: 1920 x 98 =  This GPU is almost as good as the GTX 1080 at its core (with a few specifics) such as its memory and clock speeds. The GTX 1070 is an ideal card for anyone who wants to play COD: Warzone at 1080p with high-to-ultra settings at 60FPS+ without breaking the bank which makes it one of the best cards for this game (if not THE best). We recommend getting this card if you want to play COD: Warzone on a 4K monitor, but we advise you to get the GTX 1080 Ti instead because of its rendering power and performance efficiency.

The major drawback of the GTX 1070 is that even though it's around $100 more affordable than the GTX 1080 standard price, there are many other graphics cards which are far cheaper than the GTX 1070 and perform better than the GTX 1070 in COD: Warzone which is quite strange. We guess NVIDIA hasn't optimized this game well enough (yet) to run well on any other cards besides the GTX 1080 Ti and GTX 1070 while being able to handle 4K resolutions at least 30+FPS while playing high-to-ultra settings.

4 - AMD Radeon RX 480

Video Memory: 8GB GDDR5 Core Clock: 1120MHz Boost Clock: 1266MHz TFLOPS(Max Performance): 5.8 Memory Bandwidth: 256GB/s = This GPU is a very good build considering its price just like the GTX 1060 where it practically outperforms almost all other graphics cards from last year in terms of performance. The RX 480 is a very capable card for COD: Warzone at 1080p where it can run this game at high-to-ultra settings with almost flawless performance framerate even on multiple monitors, but the bottleneck of this GPU lies in its memory bandwidth which isn't sufficient enough to maintain ultra textures and beyond so you might have to lower down your texture settings if you have this card.

The RX 480 also performs similarly well in 1440P/4K resolution although its performance falls short by 10+ FPS compared to other more expensive cards which makes it simply not recommendable for WQHD 3440 x 1440 resolutions unless you are able to get used to lower framerates than what other GPUs are providing.

5 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

6GB GDDR5 Core Clock: 1506MHz Memory Clock: 8GHz Effective CUDA Cores: 1280 x 94 = This graphics card is an excellent choice for gaming in general and especially in Call of Duty: Warzone at 1080p resolution. It can run this game on ultra settings with maxed out textures, post-processing and a high framerate which makes it very good for your daily gaming needs. We recommend getting the 6GB version if you want to play COD: Warzone on maximum settings without experiencing much framerate drops compared to its 3GB counterpart.

The major drawback of the GTX 1060 is the small amount of VRAM (3GB) which causes low performance in WQHD resolution which is why we recommend getting this card if you want to play COD: Warzone on an HD monitor or a normal FHD monitor with high-to-ultra settings.

6 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

4GB GDDR5 Memory Clock: 7008MHz Core Clock: 1392MHz TFLOPS(Max Performance): 768 Memory Bandwidth: 112GB/s = You might be wondering how an affordable graphics card like the 1050 Ti can keep up with the powerful RX 480 and GTX 1060 in a game like Call of Duty: Warzone, well it's simple actually because most games are optimized for Nvidia cards more than they are for AMD cards which results in better performance for Nvidia GPUs compared to most AMD cards. The GTX 1050 Ti performs very well on 1080p monitor as it can run COD: Warzone with ultra settings at a stable framerate of 60+ FPS even in WQHD resolution which makes it one of the best graphics cards for this game as far as performance goes.

The major drawback of the GTX 1050 Ti is its small amount of VRAM (4GB) which causes low performance in 4K resolution and if you want to play Call Of Duty: Warzone at 4K on maxed out settings then we advise you to get a better card like the 1070 or 1080 instead.

7 - AMD Radeon RX 470

8GB GDDR5 Memory Clock: 6100MHz Effective Memory Clock: 7000MHz TFLOPS(Max Performance): 5.1 Memory Bandwidth: 211GB/s = The RX 470 is an excellent graphics card for COD: Warzone and we recommend getting this GPU if you want to play this game at high-to-ultra settings in 1080p resolution as it can run this game on ultra settings with a framerate of 60+FPS even in WQHD resolution which makes this card great value for money if you don't have much cash to spend.

The major downside to this card is that it starts bottlenecking once you increase the AA levels and start playing around with multiple textures as the memory bandwidth just isn't enough to keep up. It's not bad though considering its price, but still we think it's not good enough for 4K gaming.

8 - AMD Radeon RX 480

8GB GDDR5 Memory Clock: 8000MHz Effective Memory Clock: 8192MHz TFLOPS(Max Performance): 5.83 Memory Bandwidth: 256GB/s = The RX 480 is a great entry level graphics card that has very similar performance output to the RX 470 and we recommend getting this card if you want to play COD: Warzone on maximum settings in 1080p resolution at 60+ FPS. This card can run most games of 2016 on 'high' or 'very high' settings with a stable framerate even at 4K which makes it more than worth the price for its performance output.

The only downside to the RX 480 is that it doesn't perform very well when running multiple textures such as WQHD and 4K resolutions due to its lack of VRAM (8GB) which can cause minor FPS drops so we recommend getting this card if your monitor supports 1080p resolution only.

Choosing The Best Graphics Card for Call of Duty: Warzone (COD:WZ) There are three main things to look out for when choosing a graphics card, such as price, availability and performance . For most people who play COD: WZ , they would want to get one with high or better performance compared to other GPUs while ensuring its availability and cost-effectiveness over anything else.
