  1. How to Fix the VPN Connection Failed Due To Unsuccessful Domain Name Resolution If you received the VPN connection failed due to unsuccessful domain name resolution error, it means that Cisco VPN isn't working properly due to DNS issues, preventing you from remotely connecting to your workplace. Problem You are trying to connect to VPN ,but get an error: VPN link failed due to unsuccessful domain name resolution is a typical error that can occur while using Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to remotely connect to the workplace. The definition is self-explanatory: you can’t create a successful VPN link using Cisco due to DNS problems. Usually, you can contact your system manager and ask for assistance if you come across issues with your company's VPN such as installation failure at AnyConnect. But because this mistake is typically triggered by incorrect customer settings, you may attempt to correct the following solutions. Step to Follow : Right-click the button Start on Windows 10. Go to Connections > Change options for the Network Adapter. Right-click and choose Properties for your network adapter. Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) is double-click Internet Protocol. Automatically select Get DNS server address. Click OK. DNS errors can occur if custom DNS settings like Google Public DNS, OpenDNS and Cloudflares are used. In some instances, VPN clients such as Cisco VPN cannot be compliant with static DNS servers. You can however easily fix this problem by resetting the default DNS settings of your device, ensuring that the ISP's DNS servers are used. You can contact your ISP if the issue continues. But you can consider using other static DNS servers while using your ISP's DNS servers by default, and this actually is why you used custom DNS first. If you follow this steps it will resolve this error the vpn connection failed due to unsuccessful domain name resolution.
